Terms
These terms cover this website and set out the conditions that apply when a platform sends work to the web•X•intelligence processing service.
Using this website
You may read this site, quote it with attribution, and link to it. You may not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, copy the design or written material for a competing presentation, probe it for weaknesses without written permission, or use it to impersonate web•X•intelligence.
The site describes the service in general terms so that readers can understand what it does. It is not an offer, a specification, or a promise about how any particular platform has configured its own use of the service.
Using the processing service
Access to the processing service is granted under a written service agreement with the platform that submits the work. That agreement covers scope, pricing, credentials, retention, support, and liability. Nothing on this website replaces it or adds to it.
What a submitting platform commits to
- Sending only material it has the right to send, with whatever notice or consent the law requires already obtained
- Keeping its credentials secret and telling us promptly if they are exposed
- Submitting at the agreed volume rather than at a rate that degrades the service for others
- Setting a retention window appropriate to the material it sends
- Not sending material for a purpose that is unlawful, or that is intended to identify or track a person without a lawful basis
What we commit to
- Processing each job for the stated purpose and returning the result only to the submitting account
- Handling material as described on the privacy page
- Removing source files at the end of the agreed retention window
- Telling the submitting platform without undue delay if we learn of a breach affecting its material
Accuracy and human review
Automated reading is not perfect. Results are returned with a confidence value on each field precisely so that the submitting platform can decide what to accept automatically and what to put in front of a person. Output is not legal, financial, lending, or compliance advice, and it is not a substitute for the checks a dealership is required to perform. Decisions made from the output remain the responsibility of the party making them.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and to fix faults quickly. Availability commitments, if any apply, live in the service agreement rather than on this page. Maintenance, faults, and interruptions in the components the service depends on can all affect availability.
Intellectual property
The web•X•intelligence name, the mark, the site design, and the written material on it belong to us. Material submitted for processing continues to belong to whoever owned it before it was sent. We claim no ownership over it and take no license beyond what is needed to perform the processing and return the result.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost business, arising from use of this website. Liability connected to the processing service is governed by the service agreement. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Suspension
We may suspend access where credentials appear to be compromised, where use is degrading the service for others, or where we are required to by law. Where circumstances allow, we give notice first and work with the platform to restore access.
Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. The processing service is governed by whatever law the service agreement names.
Changes
We update this page when the terms change. The version published here is the current one.
